Sunday 8th May saw Amities Boules Club Hosting their Sociaboules meeting. Forty Club members attended from Adur, Handcross, Cuckmere, Worthing and Amities. Just two less than our terrain capacity!
The playing format consisted of five individual Melees spread over the day with suitable stops for coffee, drinks and Sunday lunch.
Winners, in reverse order were Jane Cuckmere, Barbara Cuckmere, Jean Amities, Marie Helene Amities, Sheila Cuckmere and Alec Amities.
Mike Kateley, Chairman and Ian Fox Club Captain presented the prizes and congratulated the winners. There were some fine examples of competitive play throughout the day with just a single point deciding the outcome and individual players efforts rising to the occasion at crucial moments.
A small well supported raffle was held contributing to our expenses. My thanks to all who assisted with the organisation and well done to all who took part.
