Snow on snow at Kirdford ...

Ian Fox reports:

Happy New Year to all.

I hope the membership attendance picks up soon.

It all looked rather pretty, if deserted this Saturday.

Regards

Ian - back from sunny Spain!

Message from the Club Secretary ...

Carolyn Tuthill reports:

I would like to wish all members of the Boules Club a very Happy New Year.

A suggestion has been made that the Committee should make out a duty roster telling folks when they are required to do their duty! We are finding that the voluntary list is sadly lacking in volunteers. To this end, Ingrid and I will hope to find out from members when they cannot do a duty, holidays etc., then we will draw up a roster with the idea that if anything should crop up to prevent someone doing a duty, they should endeavour to do a swop with someone else. Worth a try I think.

I have today received details of the Jersey Open which will take place as usual on the first May Bank Holiday week-end - May 1st/2nd - I will post details on the notice board next time I am in Kirdford.

S.C.P.A. Vice Presidents Award for 2009

Jeff Fox from Amities Boules Club and Cranleigh P. C. was recently awarded the S.C.P.A. Vice Presidents Award for 2009

This is presented each year to an SCPA member whom the committee consider has contributed in some way to improve Petanque within the region.
